Bring back Tempolor i3 or offer a “minimal drum-first” mode.
Tempolor i3 was one of the best models for simple boom bap, drum loops, and percussion-focused instrumentals because it followed rhythm instructions closely without overproducing the track.
The newer Tempolor v4.5+ is much more “helpful,” but that often means adding extra melodies, pianos, guitars, strings, synth pads, or jazzy elements even when prompts specifically ask for minimal drum-first production.
Many users need a model that can reliably generate:
- simple kick, snare, hi-hat, and bass patterns
- strict looping drum grooves
- minimal hip hop instrumentals
- percussion-first beats
- stripped-down arrangements with negative space
- repetitive groove-focused music without excessive melody
Please consider either:
- Bringing back Tempolor i3
- Adding a “minimal arrangement” or “drum-first” toggle
- Adding a “strict prompt adherence” mode
- Adding negative prompt controls such as:
- no piano
- no guitar
- no strings
- no synth pads
- no melody
- no chords
- no vocal textures
Right now, many prompts asking for minimalist boom bap or drum loops end up sounding like chillhop, jazz lounge music, cinematic scores, or lo-fi study music instead of stripped-down hip hop grooves.
Tempolor i3 filled an important role because it was rougher, simpler, and more rhythm-focused.
