On the free plan, I wanted to ask if, after creating a theme with Tunee, I can use it anywhere, even commercially?
And in the credits, can I use either of these options?:
Co-created with Tunee AI? or
Powered by Tunee AI?
Or do I have to use only: Created by Tunee?
I’m asking about the format because, while the platform handles 95% or more of the work, there’s still a collaborative effort involved. If you don’t present the idea and offer corrections or personal preferences, it won’t do anything on its own.
At the moment, only music generated during an active subscription (any paid plan) comes with copyright protection and is eligible for commercial use.
For tracks created while you’re subscribed, you’ll be able to download the copyright license certificate directly from your account, and those tracks can be used commercially indefinitely once the certificate is obtained.
Songs created on the Free plan do not include a commercial license, even if they were later remixed or edited without an active subscription.
About attribution / credits
For licensed tracks created during a paid subscription, attribution is not mandatory.
However, if you do choose to credit Tunee, any of the following formats are acceptable and appreciated:
Co-created with Tunee AI
Powered by Tunee AI
Using “Created by Tunee” alone is not required, and we understand and respect the collaborative nature of the creative process you described.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask — we’re always happy to help!
Thank you so much for your response. Let’s say I upload the song I created to YouTube using the free version. Can I do this by stating that it was created or co-created with Tunee AI, or will they take the song down?
For music generated during the free (non-subscriber) period, the copyright belongs to the platform. If you need commercial usage rights, please subscribe to one of our paid plans.
For music generated during an active paid subscription, you will receive full copyright ownership of the music generated by Tunee, along with complete commercial usage rights.
Please note that our copyright certificate is intended solely to confirm the ownership of the song. Different music platforms have different review standards and policies, and the final interpretation rests with each individual platform. As a creation tool, we’re unable to guarantee whether a track will pass the review process on any specific platform, so any related risks should be evaluated at your own discretion.
I understand the issue of rights and ownership. But perhaps I didn’t explain my question well, so I’ll try a simpler explanation:
1- I create a song whit Tunee AI in a free mode.
2- I upload it, for example, to YouTube, specifying that it was created or co-created by Tunee AI.
3- Let’s say people like it, and YouTube pays me based on the number of views and plays.
What happens in this case? Does Tunee AI take down the song for copyright infringement or charge me a fine, even though I mentioned that it was created using their platform?
The issue you mentioned requires you to assess the related risks on your own.
You are currently using a free account, which does not include a copyright certificate for generated songs. Only music created during an active subscription period is eligible for a copyright certificate for tracks generated during that time.At this stage, we’re unable to provide any copyright documentation or proof for your account.
I realize there’s a gray area. Perhaps I’m not interested in having a certificate or the rights to a song; I’m only interested in creating and distributing music, giving credit where it’s due. No one has really answered my question about the risks involved, or whether TuneIn doesn’t want the music created to be distributed.
This is separate from paying for a subscription to the tool, which I think is very good.
this is the thing i am also not clear, on one hand tunee wants us to let more and more people know about their platform with ‘powered by tunee’ free tier condition but it also do not want us to upload their free tier music on youtube, spotify etc. because i can make some ad money from it. IF I have a commercial license why would I tell people my song is ‘powered by tunee’. LOL
My question is I’ve created some good songs on the free version and I’m planning to go to the paid version. After I’m on the paid version am I able to still monetize/copywrite the songs I made when I had the free version?
Excellent, the detail you put together is really great!!
Thank you for being attentive, and if this point is helpful to everyone, even better!
This clears up many gray areas in this whole creative process.
