Feedback regarding the discontinuation of core features – A major step backward

Dear Tunee AI Team,

I am writing to you as a dedicated user who has consistently chosen Tunee AI over other platforms. However, the recent announcement regarding the removal of the Cover and Vocal Overlay features is deeply disappointing.

From a user experience and psychological perspective, an update is expected to evolve a product, not strip away its core identity. The ability to upload a music file as a reference to generate a new style while preserving the original melody was, quite frankly, the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) that set Tunee AI apart from everyone else. It wasn’t just a “feature”; it was the reason many of us chose your platform for our creative workflows.

While I understand the legal complexities, it’s worth noting that competitors like Suno and others are still maintaining these capabilities, finding ways to balance innovation with compliance. By removing these, you are essentially losing your competitive edge and forcing your power users to look elsewhere for the tools they need for their original projects.

I personally use these features for my own original work and creative experimentation. Discontinuing them feels like a “feature amputation” rather than a step toward responsibility.

I strongly urge your team to reconsider this decision and perhaps implement stricter verification or “Safe for Original Work” filters instead of a total removal. Please bring back the reference-based generation; it is the heart of what made Tunee AI great.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts on whether these features will be reinstated in the near future.

Best regards,

Amirreza Alizadeh
