Important Update: The Evolution of Tunee

Hey, we are reaching out to share a few important updates regarding the evolution of Tunee and what it means for your creative workflow.

Expanding Our Model Ecosystem

As a music agent, Tunee was designed from day one to integrate multiple AI music models. To ensure long-term stability and higher generation quality, we are expanding our model lineup by bringing in a new suite of high-performance models: Mureka, MiniMax 2.0, and more. You now have the freedom to select different engines based on your specific creative needs:

TemPolor —— Our proprietary model (v4.5 Beta) at an extremely low price. It’s evolving rapidly. Features like local editing and polyphone correction are coming soon.
Mureka —— Industry-leading versatility with multiple versions (o2, v7.6, v7.5) for different creative needs
MiniMax 2.0 —— High-quality generation with excellent consistency

Generation costs are lower than ever. For example, TemPolor 4.5 now costs 7 credits for 2 songs, while the high-tier Mureka o2 model is 14 credits. If you prefer not to choose manually, the “Auto” setting will automatically select the most suitable model for your prompt.

We believe the future of AI music belongs to a diverse ecosystem where new AI vendors, such as OpenAI and Qwen, continue to emerge with unique strengths. Tunee’s role is to act as your intelligent gateway, matching you with the most powerful engine for your specific needs.

Copyright and Feature Adjustments

The AI music industry is evolving rapidly, and with it comes increasing complexity around copyright, licensing, and legal frameworks.
As a result, we have decided to discontinue features that carry significant legal ambiguity at this stage:
Cover feature —— Creating covers of existing songs
Vocal Overlay —— Adding vocals to instrumentals

We believe it is responsible to focus on original content creation until clear licensing frameworks are established.

:light_bulb: Our Commitment to You

We recognize that change comes with a period of adjustment, and we are committed to supporting our community through this transition:

I have cancelled my paid subscription, as of today, due to Tunee’s new policy to no longer support creating cover versions of existing song demos that I own the copyright to. I do not need Tunee to create music for me of it’s own choosing, as I am the music creator, and have been using Tunee to create polished versions of my own songs. For the past 2 months I have been a Tunee subscriber, and while I have been able to obtain some terrific cover versions of my own songs, most of the credits I have been charged resulted in system errors, and failures of the songwriting engine to follow instruction prompts, even those written entirely by the conversation engine, in response to my requests. It has been a very frustrating creative experience with some rewards, but now that the policy has changed, my use of Tunee is over If in the future, Tunee changes it’s policy and again supports creation of cover versions, especially for copyrighted songs that a user owns, I would potentially consider re-subscribing. Goodbye, I am going to move over to SuniAI, or a similar platform that supports the creative musicians that have their own copyrighted songs.

How can I request a refund? You just cancelled the features that were the main reason I was interested in your platform.

Very bad news, I used the tool to process my original songs, I can’t do that anymore, so I’m canceling my subscription until the situation changes.

no cover, no tunee anymore. I cover my own songs, so anything else is absolutely useless without this feature. a sad day (first udio, now here… moving on!)

 I’m really shocked after this new update. None of the three new music engines deliver results that are even remotely as good as before.

Before the update, about every third or fourth attempt was successful and sometimes gave me really great songs. I was even close to taking out a subscription. I was just waiting for Tunee to be able to generate longer songs. However, since the results were sometimes so good and the songs were a bit longer depending on the attempt, I intended to start a subscription.

After the new update, however, it no longer makes sense for me. As I said, no attempt now gives me anywhere near as good a result. Neither my music style is matched, nor are the right instruments chosen, and the songs are now even shorter than ever before.

 I have no idea what has been changed, but I would really like to have the old system back. Tunee had so much potential, but in my opinion, that has now been completely destroyed in one fell swoop.

I sincerely hope that Tunee will release a new update soon to address this issue, which many users in the community have been requesting. I also hope that Tunee takes the time to review and consider our feedback.

This is the biggest mistake you could have possibly made! WHY? You will now lose ALL your subscribers. My partner and I own and run Modern Voices, a successful label distributed by Sony/Orchard. This platform was an absolute gamechanger!!! Now it’s absolutely unusable!!!Sad sad sad!

I HOPE you read and heed these responses. Every single person is saying the same thing. You completely shot yourself in the foot as a company. WHY!!!???In this VERY competitive space, why would you abandon what brought you ALL your success and customers??

@tunee You have lost all my support, respect and hopes. You have killed the MORE IMPORTANT aspect of your amazing platform. COVER. I have voice recorded melodies, original mine to own that I needed your help to bring them to life. The single most important tool. I tried to create original new tracks, however I can never get what I want, instead I use up credits to have conversations and dont really get anywhere. At this point, staying with SUNO is the best and now thanks to your ambitions, THE ONLY option. Thanks for KILLING TUNEE 2026

I was just about to buy the best version last night but passed out. Thank God I waited when I woke up today to use my free credits. They have to adjust this for songs you made on here. I can’t even work on music I made anymore so I will no longer be using Tunee or paying for it until they fix it.

I get not using material not made here but the fact that I can’t tweak songs at all and have to generate a totally new creation every single time… Who wants that? I’ve been working on a song for weeks and now I suddenly can’t work on it? Or if I generate a song I like I can’t tweak it or change it at all?

That’s insane! So basically you have to randomly generate the perfect song on the first try or you’re done. How is anyone supposed to create like that?

Tunee was the best until last night, but today it has become the worst.
The music generation quality has dropped drastically, creating covers is no longer possible, and most importantly, generating songs in other languages is no longer possible.

I am also cancelling my subscription, I love using my own acapellas to build ideas to create my own songs, without this - whats the point - i dont want generic AI created songs for me, YUCK! Never Mind. RIP TUNEE.
