Question about the video

Here is the plan:
“Basic $15 $18/Month
Debited annually, $180/year
1800 credits per month 150 credits updated daily
Music video
About 8 MV (30 seconds with Seedance 2.0)”
It turns out that in a month I can create a video for 1 song if it is 4 minutes (8/2= 4), and then only if all 8 generations are successful and suitable?! Am I understanding this correctly?

Your math is roughly right, but here are a few nuances worth knowing:

  • The “~8 MV” estimate is based on a 30-second Seedance 2.0 clip. A 4-minute song would need multiple clips to cover the full runtime, so yes, that adds up quickly in credits.
  • Not every generation has to cover the whole song — you can create a shorter highlight MV (e.g. 30–90 seconds of your best section) rather than a full 4-minute video, which stretches your credits much further.
  • The Shorts mode can also help: it auto-selects highlight segments, so you’re not generating a clip for every second of the track.
  • Credits refresh daily (150/day on Basic), so over a month you accumulate 1,800 — planning your generations across the month gives you more flexibility than spending them all at once.
  • If a generation fails, credits for the actual video step are not charged (only earlier steps like storyboard analysis may consume a small amount).

So in practice: one full cinematic 4-minute MV is ambitious on Basic, but a polished 60–90 second MV for a song is very doable. If you’re planning heavy video work, the Plus or Pro tier would give you significantly more headroom.
