Urgent Issue: Melody and Chord Progression Replication Despite 'Inspiration Only' Prompt

To the Tunee Support Team,

I am writing to report a persistent and critical issue I am experiencing with your platform.

In my prompts, I consistently and clearly instruct Tunee to use the reference tracks I upload for inspiration only. I explicitly state that the platform should absolutely not replicate the original melodic lines or the original chord progressions.

Unfortunately, Tunee is failing to follow this core instruction. In almost every generation, the platform ignores my request and produces music that contains nearly exact copies or direct replications of the original reference track’s melodies and chord structures.

This is completely unacceptable for my needs.

The problem is made worse because every time I request a correction or revision to fix this specific error, Tunee continues to make the same mistake, still copying the melodies and chords.

This ongoing failure is causing me significant problems:

  1. Financial Loss: I am incurring additional costs (spending more money) to generate tracks repeatedly, trying to get a usable result that follows my prompt.

  2. Wasted Time: I am losing a considerable amount of time correcting errors that should not be happening in the first place.

Please investigate why my “inspiration only” and “do not replicate” instructions (for both melodies and chords) are being ignored. I need this function to work as described.

Thank you

Best regards,

Massimo

Strange… ! in my case, I need a 100% replica of my voice track. I have instructed many times saying “To be clear, keep the original melody and lyrics exactly the same. Do not change or replace the melody line, and don’t create lyrics or music without my permission.“

But unfortunately, it’s keep on changing my song structure and melody with out providing what I requested.

Conclusion: Tunee failing to understand the prompt properly.

Hi Massimo, could you please share your project link(s) here or via DM? I’ll forward them to our algorithm team so they can take a closer look at what’s causing this issue.

Interestingly, some other users have reported the opposite problem — they’re trying to make the same melody, but can’t get it to match. Your prompt instructions (“inspiration only / do not replicate”) are actually a great example for us to reference when we create future tutorials and best practices.

Thanks again for your detailed feedback — it’s super valuable for improving Tunee’s generation accuracy! :folded_hands:

Hi,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

As requested, here are three links to projects that demonstrate the issue I described. In all of these cases, the prompt clearly instructed Tunee to use the uploaded audio for inspiration only and to avoid replicating the original melodies and chord progressions.

Instead, the platform created tracks that are nearly identical copies of the reference files, rather than new, inspired pieces.

Here are the links:

I’m glad this feedback is helpful, and I hope these examples provide your algorithm team with the data they need to investigate why these core instructions are being ignored.

I appreciate you looking into this.

Best regards,

Massimo

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. Our development team has carefully reviewed your project link. At the moment, Tunee is unable to transform an instrumental track into a new instrumental piece. Instrumentals can only be recreated into songs with vocals. Currently, instrumentals only support remake functionality, and do not support creating a brand-new song based on reference audio.

You may try generating without using a reference audio for now — your prompt is already clearly written.
