Yes this is the problem and why Tunee turns to chinese models now my suspicion is that they used Suno as ” backend” but are no longer permitted to do so, as we all can see mureka, minimax are inferior. Me personally will give tunee a week or two then its bye bye,
If this is all true, it makes sense and is pretty much what I suspected. THEY got “cut off”. That explains why it was overnight, and why the platform was immediately drastically worse. IF they were able to create longer files accessing Suno’s back end, then it can be done and someone will do it. Let’s hope Tunee funds a way to resume their cutting edge “work Around” to enable users to create new reimagined full-length files from original full length music files they upload./ That was truly revolutionary. We will see. God bless!
The conversation I had with your AI, it will take two months to fix it. Honestly I think somehow your team messed up and you are struggling to roll back the update.
Instead you can revise the old version and work on your new update…
Oh, then what should I do? Should I just wait for the next step? Should I cancel my subscription before the next subscription fee goes out? I have to wait for more hours or days if there is any hope, but there is no answer to that, so it’s difficult. I’m in a mess where I can’t make a song at the moment!!
I get the frustration, honestly. We can’t promise a rollback — some parts of this update were driven by external and legal constraints, and as the official team, there are things we simply can’t disclose because of that. A few users here actually analyzed the situation pretty accurately. And just to clarify, we did respond on day two after the update, even if not everyone saw it.
Thank you so much for choosing Tunee and for supporting us in the first place — we genuinely appreciate that.
We want to clarify one important technical point. The cover feature was built on a core capability that preserves the original melody while modifying other elements such as lyrics and arrangement. Because this underlying technology had to be taken offline, that capability is currently unavailable across the board. As a result, even original demos created by users are temporarily unable to use melody-preserving lyric edits.
We understand how frustrating this feels, especially for creators working on their own original music. Our ideal direction — and what the team is actively working toward — is to clearly distinguish between user-created original music and externally copyrighted material, and to allow users to perform melody-preserving edits on their own works. This is something we’re actively developing and accelerating internally.
That said, we want to be honest: while we are working hard on this, we’re not able to commit to a specific timeline yet. We fully understand the anger and disappointment this uncertainty causes, and we don’t want to minimize that.
In the meantime, we hope our refund policy can help reduce the losses for users who feel the platform no longer meets their needs right now. If you decide to request a refund, we completely understand and respect that choice.
We didn’t intentionally remove Persian. After a model switch, the current models have limited support for some low-resource languages, including Persian. We’re actively looking for better models that support Persian and will bring it back once we have a stable option.
Totally understand — and you’re right. The team is actively working on the code to separate user-created original music from external copyrighted material, so original creators aren’t unfairly affected. We also admit this transition wasn’t handled well, and that’s something we need to reflect on and improve.
I get how stuck this feels. We can’t promise a rollback or a clear timeline right now, so if Tunee isn’t usable for you at the moment, it’s totally reasonable to pause or cancel before the next billing. If you choose to wait, we appreciate it — but either choice is completely fair.
Thank you for saying this — it honestly means a lot to us. We know how important the remixing and quality were before the update, and we understand why so many users miss that experience.
While we can’t promise a full rollback, we do hear the feedback clearly and recognize why the previous state worked so well for serious remixing. We’re actively researching ways to enable cover or other forms of secondary editing while working around copyright and external constraints, but this takes time, which is why we can’t give a concrete timeline yet.
The honest reality is that if we can’t properly address and mitigate copyright risks, the platform itself may not be able to continue operating in the long run. That’s why we have to be careful here, even though we know this has a real impact on creators.
Our goal is to move toward a solution that restores stability and control while keeping the platform sustainable, and we truly appreciate your patience while we work through this.
Thank you so much for this message — it genuinely means a lot to us. We know this week has been tough, and hearing that our work has inspired you and brought real joy makes it all worthwhile. Your support, trust, and kind words don’t go unnoticed. We truly appreciate you, and we’ll keep doing our best to move forward and do right by the community.
This wasn’t intentional. Due to limitations in the new models currently integrated into our system, music generation for some languages — including Farsi (Persian) — has been affected. We’re actively exploring and evaluating model providers that support broader multilingual generation, and we hope to improve this situation over time.
To everyone asking the same question about rolling back the update - Tunee explaind it pretty clearly, without being able to disclose specifics, its a decision they were forced to make because of Laws and regulations in the U.S. and honestly this is just the beginning of whats to come. The music industry is investing so much into preventing platforms like Tunee to operate freely. We are a direct threat to Music indsutry, that is the brutal truth there is nothing anyone here can do about it let alone Tunee. So, Tunee needs to adapt and with adaptation there is a lot of change and with change there is disagreement and frustration, but we all have to adapt. Find your value using Tunee and expect things to get more restricted, but I do think there is a way to be able to cover your own musical ideas, just need to wait for the legal guidance. If you really and truly valued Tunee before this update, just give them time to make sure they and us the users are safe to create without liability risks. That’s all!
The problem is not really copyright, for me, but the fact that you have lost your “backend” model. That’s where the real problem lies. I would very much like to stay because Tunee is the best, but “business is business”. I can’t devote myself to charity, or settle for a product that doesn’t measure up either. I want nothing more than for this to be resolved. The fact that people can’t resist using copyrighted material led to Udio’s fall, and it affects those of us who are serious with our own music creation. But without your “backend model”, Tunee is nothing I’m prepared to pay for.
As long as this is a priority i will stay , i love what tunee has created and want to support you guys for bringing such a brilliant product, i now understand your challenges, i will wait patiently.
Thank you for your clear words. First of all, I would like to say that I am not angry at all. I am just sad and disappointed that I can no longer use Tunee to improve my self-produced tracks and make them more creative. Of course, there are other AI music tools I could use, but Tunee was simply the fastest and best option for me.
I am also glad that you have now provided clear information regarding a timeline. I now believe that you were also confronted with the fact that you are no longer permitted/able to offer certain core functions of Tunee from one day to the next.
It seems that it will take some time before it becomes clear where the journey with Tunee is headed. I will now hold back a little when it comes to commenting and following this forum for the time being. But I’m not giving up on Tunee yet and will check in from time to time to see how things are going.
I wish the Tunee team lots of strength and hope that at some point there will be a solution regarding the re-covering of self-produced music.
